This patient started Phase I treatment at age 10.  The bulges in her upper gums show that her upper cuspids were blocked from proper eruption.  She was treated with upper braces for 12 months and had baby teeth removed to lessen her crowding.  She later had four permanent 1st bicuspid removed to unblock her cuspids.  We removed her braces and used a retainer to guide her remaining permanent teeth. 

By the time she was ready for Phase II at age 12, her upper cuspids erupted without complication and her lower crowding had lessened.  We treated her for 24 months with upper and lower braces to close her remaining spaces and correct all rotations.
