This patient started treatment at age 13. They had a choice between non-extraction treatment with braces and headgear, or extraction treatment with braces and bicuspid extractions. Because the patient did not want to wear headgear, they had four 1st bicuspids removed and were treated for 24 months with upper and lower braces.
